Terms of Service

By creating an account or using LegacyVerse, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the platform.

You retain ownership of the memories, stories, photos, videos, voice recordings, and other content you upload.

By using LegacyVerse, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely for providing the service to you and any family members you invite.

You agree not to use LegacyVerse for unlawful activities, harassment, spam, or attempts to interfere with the platform or other users.

You are responsible for the content you upload and for ensuring you have the right to share it.

LegacyVerse is built for personal and family use — preserving memories, stories, photos, videos, voice recordings, and family history for you and the people you invite into your Family Vault. This is not a restriction on what your family chooses to preserve: your family's history, traditions, and even memories tied to a family business are exactly what LegacyVerse is for.

LegacyVerse is not intended to be used as general-purpose commercial cloud storage, off-site business backup, a file-hosting or file-sharing service, a platform for reselling storage capacity, automated or bulk archival infrastructure, or storage for an unrelated enterprise's data. If we determine a Family Vault is being used primarily for one of these purposes rather than family preservation, we may reach out, limit further storage-consuming uploads, or take other reasonable steps to address it.

We may also limit activity that isn't consistent with normal family use of the platform, such as automated or scripted high-volume downloading, bulk retrieval of content outside the ordinary export tools we provide, reselling or redistributing storage capacity, or attempts to bypass upload, storage, or account limits.

LegacyVerse is designed for preserving family memories. You are responsible for obtaining any permissions necessary before uploading content involving other individuals.

We strive to provide reliable service, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may evolve over time as LegacyVerse grows.

Scheduled maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues may temporarily affect access.

Your memories belong to you. LegacyVerse provides export tools so you can retain copies of your data.

You may request deletion of your account and associated content according to our platform policies and technical processes.

The LegacyVerse platform, branding, logos, and software are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These rights remain the property of LegacyVerse.

LegacyVerse is provided on an 'as available' basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LegacyVerse is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform.

LegacyVerse's plans, prices, storage allowances, feature availability, and add-on offerings may change over time as the platform grows. We'll provide reasonable advance notice before a price change or a reduction in what's included in your plan takes effect.

Changes to pricing do not apply retroactively to a subscription period you've already paid for — a price change takes effect at your next renewal or upgrade, not partway through a period you've already paid.

We don't promise that any price, storage allowance, or feature will remain unchanged permanently, including introductory or Founding Family offers, which apply as described at the time they were offered.

Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. LegacyVerse does not directly store your full payment card details.

Payment information is handled according to Stripe's own privacy and security practices.

Canceling a paid plan stops future renewal charges. Your paid access remains active through the billing period you have already paid for.

After paid access ends, your Family Vault enters a 90-day read-only period. During that period you may continue to view your existing content, download or export it where supported, and reactivate a paid plan at any time.

Read-only means existing content stays viewable while new activity is paused: no new uploads, edits, comments, requests, shares, invitations, or other community participation.

LegacyVerse retains your existing content for at least 365 days from your paid-through date. That 365-day period includes the 90-day read-only period described above — it is not an additional year afterward. After that minimum period, content becomes eligible for deletion under LegacyVerse's data policies; deletion is not automatic, and account recovery and reactivation paths remain available.

Refund requests should be submitted within 48 hours of the charge by contacting legacyverse888@gmail.com. Requests are reviewed case by case — a refund is not automatic.

Duplicate charges, billing errors, and any rights required by applicable law may be handled separately from this general request window.

Canceling a subscription stops future renewal charges; it does not by itself refund a payment already made. Refunding a past charge and canceling future billing are two separate actions.

These Terms of Service may change as LegacyVerse evolves. Significant changes may be communicated through the platform or by email.
